Last week we hosted our very own Prof Stephen Jeffery for his Ethics-based talk titled: “Shared decision making in Urogynecology”

In his talk, Prof Jeffery discussed the importance of collaborative decision-making between healthcare providers and patients in the field of urogynecology. He highlighted the complexity of treatment options and the unique nature of each patient's condition, emphasizing the need for personalized, patient-centered care. Shared decision-making is a crucial aspect of patient empowerment, as it allows individuals to be actively involved in choosing the most suitable treatment options for their specific circumstances. The talk also discussed the tools and communication strategies that enable effective shared decision-making, ultimately leading to better outcomes and patient satisfaction in urogynecological care.

A big thank you to Vertice for sponsoring this talk. We appreciate their support and dedication to both our foundation as well as to continuous professional education.
